Scheibe SF 25C-Falke
The Scheibe SF25 is build by Scheibe Flugzeugbau in Dachau Germany. It is the world’s most build motor glider. There can be identified various types of Falke motor gliders, as there are the: A, B, C and the E type. We will introduce to you the prototype SF 25-C Falke. For this two seat motor glider different building methods were used. The fuselage is a welded steel construction covered with cloth. The wing, elevator and rudder are a wooden construction covered with cloth. The pilots are seated side by side. The customer has the choice between a one wheel and a 2-leged landing gear with wheel pans to cover the tires, or newly a tricycle gear. The power source is a Limbach engine SL1700EA or L2000 EA( 60 80 HP ). Since a few years the Falke is successfully used for glider towing. For this purpose a water-cooled Rotax engine is build under the hood. The new name for this motor glider is the Rotaxfalke. There will make a separate article later on.
