Diana 2 maiden video

Here is a video of the second day of test flights of the Diana 2 sailplane. in 2005 The glider went on to take second place in the European Championship in Finland

Auto-Tow

I have wondered for quite some time about using a car to tow up models rather than by winch. Indeed it has been used since the early days of full size gliding and in parts of the world is still in use.

Here is a short video of one such flight and here is a short comment on full size operation

A Rare Glasflugel H202

Here is a picture of a rare Type made by Glasflugel. It is a transitional development between the H201 Standard Libelle and the H205 Club Libelle.
Points to note are the Mid-Wing and front part of the fuselage with canopy like the H201 but with a rounded tube for the rear fuselage and a 'T 'tail. The rudder is also a different shape to both model types
