Promotion Pens

"I am promoting the Scale Soaring UK image and as such I've had some advertising pens made. I am hoping to sell them to fellow flyers etc all money raised to go to Cancer UK.
I intend to sell the pens at events for 60p each or two for £1 should anyone wish to have a pen sent to them then they could email me and I will send one for £1, two for £1.30."

The inscription on the pen is:-

The history of gliding in Wasserkuppe.

The sport of gliding is said to have taken off (pardon the punn) on a hillside close to the old border with East Germany. In 1909 Engineer Oscar Ursinus of Frankfurt formed a team to promote the application of motorless flight.

1 - I have had good reports of the battery supplier below. One club member purchased two sets of batteries from various sources and they failed to meet capacity. The batteries from this site exceeded their rating.

2 - Have you come across this site. I consider it to be one one the best, and something for all.

Fiddlers Green

This maker of cardboard models has recently offered a free download of a Duster, a popular American home built sailplane, for a limited period. In the downloads area, besides the model, are copies of magazine articles on the full size suitable for documentation. The intro web page has further documenatation. Also available for purchase are other models, but of importance are pages of useful documentation.

If you plan a scale model, here is a zip file (2.3Mbytes) of an interesting 'Chinese' version
