Tom from Germany sends a note

Dear soaring friends,

My Name is Tom Bode from Hamburg (GER) and I´m a enthusiastic vintage glider modeler.

I just want to tell you my rapturousness about your great hompage- it´s just fantastic! Specially the Articles, Documentations and Tips are outstanding!

I also have two Websites, a private one: http://www.balsafluegel.de/ where you can see a lot about my flying stuff,
and my new semi-commercial site http://www.woodwings.de/ where I try to sell a few cnc-part kits of my Ka6e and the DFS Reiher.

Maybe it´s interesting for your community and if you would set a link, it would make me happy.

For shure I´ll set a link to your great site - If you don´t object.

Sorry for my bad English and thanks for your great Website!

Aussie Marvel

This email in from John Copeland, well known to many as a very adventurous modeller. After reading his email, take a look at what he has produced, I am sure you will be impressed by this most difficult of subjects

Hi , I have scratch built a 1/3rd scale Stemme 10 over the past few years .I have attached a couple of pics of it if you would like to put them up on your site and also a link to my own site .

Details of the Stemme are
7.66m span ,
23kgs AUW
powered by a AXI 5330/24 with a Hyperion 90ampESC and 10s 8000mah Lipo .

It flies great . All the retracts work and are scale operation as is the centrifugal propeller . The props I mold myself and are hollow carbon .

New Zealand Gliding Grand Prix

This has been taking place over recent days, but my reason for raising the links are the videos you will find on the sites. They managed to give TV coverage of the event by combining in flight shots from a helicopter, Computer graphics and sailplane logging software to show just what was happening, all displayed on a giant screen.

The first site comes with a warning. There are 7 videos displayed on the page and all will load as you got to the link

The second gives a selection of two videos, repeats of what are on the previous site. Go here
