Search Models from Manufacturers

If you are looking for a new scale sailplane, try the RC Model Data Base. This new free database lists airplanes, sailplanes in 3 languages, English, French, and German. You will have access to an advanced search engine that can use a variety of search filters like wing span, price, and airplane type. Each model or product has a data sheet with descriptions, photos, and links to resellers and manufacturers.

Tug Tow Videos

From Evert Böhrer in Belgium comes these links to a couple of onboard videos he made this weekend. Over to Evert

"Yesterday, I did shoot some video’s with an onboard camera, mounted in my Rearwin Speedster.

The first one shows just a flight of the rearwin, the second one shows two glider tows of a 4.5m Ka6.
I still have to find the correct angle to have the glider in vision all the time… (climbing angle, or video mount angle)"

Mid-Air at Sutton Bank

Two single-seat aircraft were involved in a mid-air collision near Sutton Bank Gliding Club in Yorkshire on Monday. Fortunately one pilot managed to parachute to safety. See BBC News page
