Mid -air collision
A Schleicher ASG 29 on its very first flight in the US collided at 13,000 feet with an executive Jet. The Glider pilot bailed out and landed safely whilst the jet did a safe wheels up landing at a nearby airfield with a piece of the glider still embedded in its nose. More news and pictures here

Pro Scale teaser
A new Australian company is about to take to the Air. Here is an announcement from another Forum :
"We are proud to announce that we are only 2 months away from launching a new company on the market, Pro Scale RC. We will be specializing in top quality wood kits and ARF of your favourite sailplanes/gliders. We will initially be releasing three 1:4 scale kits which will also be available in ARF. Each kit will be produced from the finest Laser Cut balsa, ply and spruce. They will include only the best hardware from Dubro and Robart, and all canopies will be made from hand-laid clear fiberglass. Options will be available fort each kit, including instrument panels, detailed cockpits, tow releases, tie-down gear and more."

Dg 1000 Build photos
In Germany, Michael Hermann has produced a photofile of building details for his 1:3 scale DG 1000. There are 122 detailed photos showing tips on such things as canopy hinging and locking and retract installation.
