I read a lot about people not being able to get a good mix when they add filler or thickener to the mix....I use zip lock baggies......
This is what I'm going to epoxy.....the leading edge sheeting to the spar....the rest of it will be done with wood glue after the epoxy sets....the reason for the epoxy is it glues the Spectra wrappings to the spar and the skin......nice and strong.
First the hardener goes in.....
Then the resin.............
Then you lock the bag and work it with your hands.....I roll it back and forth and rub it up and down at the same time.....mixes real good...
Squegee it all down to one corner with your fingers.....
Add thickener........and work it with your hands again..........
Use a soft hunk of balsa to push it all to the corner............
"Burp" the bag to get all the air out.................
Wind it up from the zip lock side................
till it looks like this.....then cut the corner off to make a spout....
And squirt it on the parts to be glued.....up untill this part my gloves are still clean.....
