Re: 30% Wilga Build
Darren, is yours the 30% ?
The DLE111cc was a perfect match for the 1/4 scale, tow pretty much anything with ease.
More progress today but still waiting on my sheet and strip

Re: 30% Wilga Build
The only issue then, will probably be the prop size.
I'm going to have to use a 3 blader I think, 32" is a LOT of prop.

HI Darren
I forgot to tell you where I got my shocks from. I used the heaviest strength ones which are 400 newtons but the choice is yours. The part number I ordered from the website below was W06YBO0400
http://www.assocspring.co.uk/p/258/nitr ... lded-eyes/
I ordered 5 as the price break and postage worked out cheaper than ordering 3 if my memory serves me right and then you have spares or Glider ones

Re: 30% Wilga Build
Darren, she looks great!
Did you make your own pattern for the cowl? I plan to make a wooden one, there's always a need to for nose weight, so I'm happy with that, plus I'm not putting any servos in the tail, my last Bondy wiggler had 2lb or more of lead at the front of the cowl.

Hi Ray
Thanks for the link thats them sorted.
Elliott
I made a blue foam plug and molded the cowl over that. I used the dimensions as drawn by Mike but I did add the flared section on the port and starboard side of the cowl.

Re: 30% Wilga Build
Thanks Darren,
as a side note, I want to use carbon pushrods for the elevator controls, I would use Pete Tindal's stuff, but I think they're no longer trading?
What are you using?
I\m mounting my rudder/ tail wheel servos in the forward fuzz too so will use pull/ pull and possibly a pushrod for the rudder, haven't quite decided.
Cheers, Ell.

Hi Elliot
I've got the rudder servo in the tail as per the drawing and I'm using a carbon push rod for the elevator the tail wheel is on a closed loop both servo's up front.
I'm underway with the final fit out so the project is finally drawing to a close.
