180 degree servo

Post by Ian Davis »

Just in case you ever need a 180 degree proportional servo, try this, it works:-

I've just done two, both successful.

I don't seem able to edit the post above? If you try this it is important that you remove the stop on the top face of the output gear.

Or you can just buy any Hitec Digital servo, and program it for 180 degree movement. Simples.....

Barry

Of course you can,but that's 50 quid up your shirt.

My conversion, with a 148 that had been in stock for years cost the grand total of 28p for two resistors.

Simpler!

Osborne economics or smoke and mirrors. The cheapest programmer I found was £30, so add this and your <£20 and you arrive at my figure.

The need is purely experimental at the moment and I'm comfortable with my current solution and its price tag.

I already have the programmer. Very useful. You can reverse them too...

Always here, if you need to use it.

I have never tried reversing a programmer. Surely once you turn it round you can't see the display !!!?
