Hi everyone,
My name is Mark Erwood. I have been making r/c models for about 60 years. My first scale sailplane was a 1:5 scale John Fletcher ( remember him?) Nimbus 2. I am currently putting together a cut kit for a 1:3.5 scale ASK18 that a friend dumped on me which sort of distracted me from the 1:4 scale LAK-12 that I had started.
I have to say that have not flown anything for decades so I intend to treat myself as a beginner with 2/3 channels until I get things together again.

Good to have more scale soarers in Cornwall - even though you are only JUST in Cornwall!

Hi Mark,
Welcome to the site you will enjoy it I am sure.
As for the radio unless money is really tight I would not buy a basic model because it will not suit your needs for very long.I expect that you will get a lot more advice from other members soon.
Tony.
