R1 Gheppio

Post by Martin Gough »

I managed to purchase this glider yesterday. I believe it to be an R1 Gheppio
by Vic Steel but thats as much as I know. Just checking everything over at the
moment but hopefully it will fly soon.

Martin,

It flies very well - just needs a couple of 20mm cannon fitting!

Finally flew the Gheppio today at Leek and Moorlands. Had a great deal of
help and encouragement from Simon Cocker. First time flight of the model
for me and a first slope soaring such a model. Flew for about half an hour
by which time I was mentally worn out. Landing went well and took the
model home in one piece. Looking forward to doing some more slope flying
now I've been initiated.

Martin.
