Blowing up plans
Hi Guys.
I'm musing over my next project.
I'm thinking of taking a Traplet plan and blowing it up 3 or 4 times(the original is only 38 inch span).
Any ideas about how to best do this? It's not the sort of thing that can be done on an office photocopier (and I hear these can distort the image anyway ).
Thanks in advance!

I think Roo has used an overhead projector before to project an enlarged image onto a wall.

If you have access to Devwing/Devfus one other thing you could do is scan the plan in and then in this program redraw it to the new scale, you could even change all the wood sizes etc and if you wanted send the files off for laser cutting.

Take it to a Print shop and ask for a scan copy. With that it cab be printed to any size, subject to paper size restrictions. If that is a problem, send it to me and I will split it up into printable sizes for you, usually 841mm wide paper. Obviously if you go for, say, 4 times oversize, then the lines will also be 4 times thicker

Yes, once a drawing is in CAD, the line width remains a constant thickness no matter what scale is applied.
