what is it?

Post by Andy B »

Can anybody suggest what make and model this glider is in the photos?
3.75m span (as measured in photo, believe should have winglets or detachable tips ,veneered foam wings, no flaps, mechanical spoilers and all flying horizontal stab and baggy covering...

Could be an ASW28. The wing tips would have given it away.

Thanks for your replies chaps.
After doing a lot of searching it turns out that the model is a Chinese made ARF semi scale interpretation of a Discus glider by a company called AMD.
I shall chuck it off a hill next week and see how well it flys :)

A fine idea David apart from the crashing bit. Only problem is that I've just landed in Tenerife , was meant to be Madeira but too windy to land...
