Well I do not know if Santa came a bit late or a lot early, but a big box appeared in my garage the other evening.
Inside was one F&W ASW 17 with a ceflix 750 up and go DF unit.
6.3 Metres of carbon perfection. I have honestly never owned a better quality model. I have run out of superlatives.
I am lying if I claimed that I was going to "build" this. Throw in some servos and a bit of glue, shake well and it will be done. :D
If anyone wants more information then drop me a PM.

The ASW 17 is such an iconic shape and that looks super cool with the Ceflix jet. You're a lucky boy indeed. Empty pockets now I guess?

Well done Tomáš that's a very nice looking model and some excellent, graceful flying too.

New 3m Pat Teakle Dart15 just finished & awaiting maiden flight.
This one has built-up wings (1/16" balsa sheeted & glassed) and uses a fixed central section with plug-on wings using the HQ35 section to avoid need to build in physical washout.
The tail feathers are also of built-up construction in an effort to reduce nose ballast and overall weight.
The fin & rudder height has been increased from the original size as recommended by Pat.
Overall weight with 2cell LiFe battery is 5lb 10oz.

It's been a long slow build, and I haven't posted for quite a while. But I found a day where I could spend the time to set up the wings on the Petrel on secure them to the body.
