They are not magnets that hold the wings on in this device. It is a physical and sunstantial metal latch. The magnet part comes in to lock and unlock the wing. Slide the magnet one way and the latch locks, turn it over and move the other way and it unlatches. Very neat and very positive. They also have superb magnetic 6 and 12 pin electrical coupling too. Not cheap but like all things Emcotec, superbly engineered.
