It does make chuckle when I see turbine powered gliders for sale. There is one on the BMFA today for £4700 and I've seen another recently for £6000 !!
These people have bought a very niche market model and now think they can sell them on. As we know, things are only worth what someone will pay for them and as the majority of glider pilots will want to get away with Futaba 148 servo on a tow release with a 4.8v battery to save a few pennies ( ) then who is going to pay thousands for a turbine powered glider that is not only expensive to run but is also getting more limited on places to fly them ?
