First Flight of 2018

Post by Jolly Roger »

I was tempted out for my first fly of the year by a cool blue sky but and the last warm embers of Autumn still in the trees. I love the long shadows at this time of year and the ripples and bumps it reveals in the landscape. I flew for about an hour until my thumbs froze.

Happy new year to all.

Very nice Rog. I liked the house and the adjacent field in the first shot. It is way too cold up here at the moment for those sort of capers!

Well spotted Brian. Please do give me a call and drop in next time you're passing if it's a weekend or school holidays. I often mow a landing strip on the field for models with wheels, or of course you could handlaunch anything electric. Or there's always a brisk 20 minute climb up the top for some proper man-size slope-soaring off the cliff. That'll warm you up!

All the best, ;)
