I seem to have a bit of a problem on my tranny. It's a FrSky Taranis X9D+. It seems to charge OK at first then after a while when it's almost fully charged the light on the on\off button flashes blue/green. It's normally green when charging and turns to blue fully charged. I normally just plug it into a USB charging socket in one of our normal 16a wall power sockets.
I have tried a completely different wall socket and USB cable.
Has anyone come across this please? At the moment it has managed to charge to 8.2v which is almost fully charged.

FrSky Taranis X9D_ transmitter chargeing problem
My ambition is to grow old disgracefully. My wife tells me that I'm doing quite well so far.

Re: FrSky Taranis X9D_ transmitter chargeing problem
Hi John,
The flashing light indicates a charge fault, I get it occasionally on my TX16, found this on a website,
But one annoying thing is it doesn’t like charging adapters for phones/tablets that can supply higher current, only low current sources like computer USB ports work. When it’s charging, the LED under the power button turns green.
Could try using a computer usb port to charge and see if it still happens.
Regards
Rob

Ta for the replies gents. The battery is the double li-ion type and about a year old, so it 'should' be OK?
I am going to phone Richard at T9 later this morning as that's where I bought it. He has been very helpful before.

Re: FrSky Taranis X9D_ transmitter chargeing problem
I have had a good look at the uSB socket that the charger cable plugs in to and realised that there's a bent pin in there. So I phoned Richard at T9Hobbies and he actually has the small card that holds the USB connector, earphone and trainer sockets in stock. It seems to be a known problem, but usually associated with not being to connect the tranny to the PC for the OpenTX Companion programme.
So at great expense, £3.12 the new bit is on its way and all should be well. I was so impressed that I bought some more bits to celebrate

The part arrived at lunch time today and is now fitted. So less than 24 hours from finding out what the problem was and fixing it! And that includes the post time.
Very good service from T9 as usual
