Anyone know where I could source a tailwheel for a 1/3 scale cub? Doesn't need to be very scale, just stand-off kind of thing.
Thanks,
Rog

Try Steve Webb models, its where we get the large cub tailwheel assemblies for that we use on our SDD Greenley tugs

Cheers Pat. That's actually the one that came with the kit (from Steve Webb) but I was after something more scale.
I guess you must be happy with how it works so it makes sense for me just to use it for a few flights and see how I get on.
Thanks again.

Re: 1/3 cub tailwheel?
I am quite well known for abusing the tailwheel and did go through a few whilst banging it on rotating enthusiastically
The current one has lasted a long time now that I dont smash it against the runway, I use the bigger version but I know AEB uses the smaller. They are equally good and I recommend them having tried various others

Roger,
I use them too. Take out the grub screw that hols the arm on, and replace it with an cap head. Be careful to get it all in line as you tighten it.
Other than that they seem good.

Re: 1/3 cub tailwheel?
It was no use, I tried really hard to be happy with the World Models kit tailwheel, but it was just nothing like scale.
So I used factory drawings to get the right shape, moulded the curvy bits from carbon cloth and threw in a few bits of aluminium etc. Not perfect but it looks OK, is strong and weighs 30% less than the WM version. Most of all, I was in absolute shed-heaven! I absolutely love making stuff like this from scratch.

Having trouble attaching photo - will try from my other PC.

Nope. Appears to load (get green progress bar) then just a yellow triangle with a ! in it. Any ideas?
