Looks like a nice site. You are very luck to have such a facility.

Hi Cliff

Had a chat to the boss's son yesterday and with any luck he will start learning to fly as well, so that will hopefully secure the site for a while.

It is a lovely facility. The guys have spent a lot of time forging a positive relationship with the owner and other users of the land.

Sorry boys been super busy but some good news .......... the land owner Wess just gave his son ( he is about my age ) a piper cub and motor to learn to fly. I have given him a 8ch radio so hopefully he will take to it soon and come join us often.

Anyhow cut some extra ribs and Stuart has kindly said he would make me a tug tow release like he has on his plane.

Busy cutting cap strips, OK I JUST LIED !!....... the kit cutter is getting it sorted once again , feel so bad i just aint progressing so at least its moving along :-)

Need to watch the plywood wing sheeting/ gluing tutorial again.

Looking at laying up the tail wheel setup out of carbon fibre thanks to mate who flies 150cc TOC and has some spare.

Marked all the hinge points and the angle to try assist me drilling.
Found a nice tool to assist with the first 3mm hole and then will drill 5mm by hand.

Was interesting trying to drill the flap hinges at an angle to " bottom pin" them.
Broke through the wood a few times but the job was pretty good all things considering.
thought i would leave the trailing edges at 2 or 3 mm since its not a fast aircraft and some drag would be good on the decent.
