33% Pawnee CG advice

Post by Andy Wallace »

Guys I'm trying to set the CG on the Pawnee
Manual says
8½ to 9 inches back, other forums are saying it's more like 10 to 10½¹"
It has a Zenoah 80cc twin up front and is very tail heavy at 10"
I'm trying to CG it the right way up would I be better doing it inverted ?
Apparently the model was only flown once at the manuals measurements, i can't understand whys it's so tail heavy

Andy, are you using a Vanessa rig? It's by far the easiest way to balance big models.

I'd go for 9" and work backwards, remembering the old adage... If you're not sure about the rig DM me and I'll explain.

Cheers, Ell.
