It would seem that I am in possession of a non-compliant ethos...

Therefore, to quote Douglas Adams: 'Goodbye, and thanks for all the fish'

Looks like we’ve lost a very valuable contributor.

Very sad.

It is very sad, but, nobody asked anybody to leave! No rules have been broken. All should be able to express an opinion without any problems.

I am sorry we are to lose our very own Chris Williams. Nobody has done more to promote built up scale throughout the world than he. His build threads and advice has been second to none. He will be surely missed on here.
On behalf of every member I would like to thank you Chris.
However I must say that the live and let live 'providing you do it my way ' has raised its ugly head again. :x :x

I quite agree, it is a shame to loose Chris and besides being able to demonstrate his building logs he has been able to benefit from advertising his plans on his own page on this site.

Il be very honest and say without the build logs, I wouldn't visit this site. Chris and several other builders provide much needed confidence, knowledge and humour.

In the interests of many, can the offending statement be retracted so we can return to the norm.

I'll even bring the fish....

FFS!!! Chris is not the only builder here that supplies build logs and to be perfectly honest Adam, If Chris wants to throw his dolls out of the pram, that is up to him. It is not fair the forum be held to ransom in this way!! This is not about Chris! Also if this carries on much longer there will not be a forum as I will just stop putting in the time to run it.

How has he held it to ransom?

His response was simply to say goodbye thanks to a crude comment on his choice of colour scheme.

Adam, what was the "crude" comment!!! It was said that it was not a scale colour scheme and that it looked like an ice-cream wrapper. At the end of the day an opinion held by the person that started this forum twenty+ years ago and he is quite entitled to hold that opinion if he so wishes.

And it was not Chris's colour scheme!!!!

And as for being held to ransom, it was your comment "Ill be very honest and say without the build logs, I wouldn't visit this site." that made it sound that as though it was being held to ransom!

Please read this thread.

Cliff, I know how you feel. When I was Chairman of a full-size gliding club the hardest thing I had to do was massaging people's egos. You are doing a great job. Keep it up. Can certain individuals kiss and make up please and then we can all move on.? Regards John.
