A quick diversion to the front end to remove the temporary formers and beef up the cockpit aperture edges with 3 x 6mm spruce strip.

With the cockpit area glassed and the servos fitted, attention now moves to fitting the fin to the fuselage...

After checking the fit of the fin, it's time to put the rudder together....

The rudder is completed by adding the solid balsa aerodynamic balance at the front. I've made my usual mistake with the rear ply sheeting by not allowing for the thickness of the fin post...
With the tail feathers completed, the fin can now be epoxied to the fuselage, using a vertical guide in the cockpit to help with alignment...

The top ply sheeting on the fuselage is 0.6mm ply. Thanks to Motley for pointing out its existence! It seems an excellent compromise between the flimsy .0.4mm ply and the much-harder-to-bend 0.8mm ply. Work on the rear end continues...
