I'm looking forward to seeing how this turns out - rather keen on the Moswey!

Cliff - How about drawing up an appropriate scale Bucker Jungmann as shown behind HB465 as a lovely scale tug?
It is even a lovely colour scheme.

I have to say I'm starting to take a liking to it too . . . . especially the metallic blue scheme.
Though I have one problem here in NZ, 0.4mm ply is dearer than gold and even harder to find. I have toyed with balsa planking and then using a veneer over that (again, if I can source some).
So if there are any kiwi modellers watching, can you point me at some 0.4mm ply?

Sorry, got carried away . . . I'm liking what I'm seeing Richard, so lets hope it passes the flying test and gets printed into the 'Plans' section soon.

Cheers

You'll never guess what I found!
I was trolling thru Youtube looking at old glider movies (as you do ;) ) and I found the blue Mowsey ! ! !
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oJ88n_Y1lY8
Go to 3 mins 38sec and there she is .. . . it is amazing. Then theres a Siren Edelweiss at 4:35. The most beautiful 'V' tail glider ever built. 8-) 8-)
I think Mowsey just got pushed down "The List" :(

0.4 mm Ply is In Australia avaialble from Boat (Or Hobby) Craft Pacific
I pay $100.00 for a sheet of 1.2 m x 1.2 m measured over the area that is less than 50% of the cost of Hobby shops here
But you have to buy full sheets

If the $100.00 of a 1.2x1.2m sheet is attractive compared to the NZ stuff they may export but transport costs will probably kill the the transaction

As the designer of this model, an option would be to sheet the lot with 1.5mm balsa and glass the surface
It will result in a weight penalty. I do not think the extra 1.1mm in sheet size will be noticed

Cheers

http://www.heerdegen-balsaholz.de

See this site, he is shipping rolled up to 1.5 m cost to value...for P&P
His sheets are 1.5x1.5 m 0.4 , 0.6 and 0.8 mm
0.4 mm € 95.90, 0.6 mm € 92.50 and 0.8 mm € 71.50
just ask him to cut 50 mm of the sheet so it fits the tube.
I can help if needed to organize this for you, in my German...
Depending how big the parts for sheeting have to be would either one do I believe.

I am in the process ordering a few sheets for the SF27 M shortly.
