Vince,
I will be making arrangements to take some shots of the model alongside the full size in due course.
We will make sure that Cliff Charlesworth gets a copy of the results.

Did you know that Elliots of Newbury (EoN), the builders of most of the British Olympias, also built power planes, the EoN 1 and Eon 2. Here is a picture of one with an Olympia

Very interesting Vince.
It looks as if only a single example of the Gypsy powered EoN2 was completed, being used as a glider tug until it met it's unfortunate (unpiloted) end in an airfield boundary hedge, complete with glider it was hitched up to!
This would make an interesting tug at 1/4 scale.

Olympia build is now complete apart from installing the pitot tube arrangement just forward of the canopy.
So here is another photo of the assembled, virtually complete, model - this time with all of the decals on.
Radio gear all fitted, balanced & waiting for a suitable opportunity & weather to do the maiden flight.
Overall weight has come out at 10.5lbs.

We had a scale practice session today at White Sheet, ahead of the main event on Sunday

In pole position, Peter's excellent Oly. (I hear he might be flying for Mercedes next season)
It was also a 3 Minimoa day

Many thanks all.
I managed to do the maiden flight today during a lovely afternoon at White Sheet.
Barry Cole did the launching honours & she flew away into the 15mph or so SW breeze beautifully.
The stall is quite benign, with just a gentle (left in my case) wing drop and quick recovery.
I see that Chris has just put some photos up of the day. Many thanks Chris.
