Minimoa MO2a Modification**
A couple of thumb-related incidents have shown that if the wings are knocked forward in a hasty landing, the front of the wing root fairings are liable to be pushed into the fuselage, despite the short amount exposed. The mod, or retro-mod, is a simple one: simply glue a reinforcing panel into the cockpit interior on each side. As an added improvement, I have also put a 12 x 6mm spruce spreader bar between the wing roots, to which it is handy to strap the pilot. The attached drawing should be self-explanatory...
