That sounds fair enough to me Cliff as it should to everyone else. Its a bit like a customer expecting me to correct a mistake in a bathroom refit done by someone else....I would politely suggest they go back to the original installer unless they agreed a fee with me upfront.

Sounds absolutely right to me Pat (and Cliff). The first point of recourse always has to be the supplier. However if they tell you to "sling your hook" then you can only expect someone else picking up the pieces to charge you through the nose (and quite rightly so).
If you don't get good service or you get shoddy goods then let us all know about it in the "Bad Service" thread so that we can all beware that trader in the future.
