The 47th VGC International Rally 2019 is to be held at The Norfolk Gliding Club between Saturday, July 27, 2019
Saturday, August 3, 2019. I am in discussions with the club who have given us an open invite to attend the rally with models to display and fly. We will be offered a discount T.B.A. for entrance and camping for the week. This will be a great oportunity for us to forge a stronger relationship with our full size counterparts. Obviously it is early days yet but, worth putting in your diaries.

The club are in the process of building the event website where, when ready we can go to and "book in"
Club website is here: http://www.norfolkglidingclub.com

I have had a communication regarding costs for attending the rally. £50 pilot registreation and £15 or £20 per night depending if you want "hook up" for the caravan. No guarentee of us flying! I have told them that I beleive this to be a bit steep but that is just me. If you wish to book up go to the website below and then go to the shop and book. I would hold off for a short while as I am still negotiating these fees!

In my experience of many demos at VGC events, there is limited interest from the full-size guys in our efforts. The last time we went to Tibbenham we flew in the evening on the other side of the field at the same time as the barbecue by the main hangars. Guess which proved more popular?
The Lasham venue was the best attended, mainly because the model action took place right in front of the clubhouse...!
I have corresponded with Andrew Jarvis (also president of the VGC!) who tells me that he is trying to organise a comp amongst the VGC members to build the old KK Minimoa, so collaboration with modellers might be more forthcoming this time around...
