Despite the occasional drizzle and black clouds, it turned out to be a good days gliding both aerotowing and on the excellent slope as the wind was kind enough to be in the right direction and strength. We had about 15 glider pilots so a good turn out so early in the season.
Thank you to John Vaughan for organising the event and to John Biggin who spent most of the day flying his beautiful 30% scale Wilga as he was the only tug pilot. The grass was waterlogged in places, quite long in other places and the ground was very bumpy so he did a wonderful job with all but the biggest, heaviest gliders.

Thanks to JV and the team for running this great event, it was most enjoyable and in such good company.
Westerlies make for good slope lift though the ol' Wilga has to tug up hill! Maybe I should consider some tyres like Draco's.
Looking forward to the next one,
