Baldock Glider Day
Hi All
We are pleased to be able to announce that Baldock Glider day will take place this year on 11th July. Tugs will be available to tow any size glider and experienced tug and glider pilots on hand to help if you have never tried aerotowing.
Baldock is a big open site with a 400m long runway so suitable for all sizes of models. We do ask that tugs are properly silenced though!
There are proper flush toilets on site and food will be available at lunchtime so bring friends and family and enjoy the day.
Limited camping will be available on Sat night. For more details contact John Greenfield on 07710 924721

Re: Baldock Glider Day
A reminder that Baldock glider day is on the 11th of July. We have a site height authorisation in place for the field up to 1500ft for all models up to 150kg and experienced tug and glider pilots will be on hand to help anyone new to aerotowing. Self launch gliders are also very welcome. Scale or non scale, it does not matter.
The club will be running a BBQ on Sunday lunchtime and for those who are really keen camping will be available on site on Sat evening. Mains water and proper flush toilets are on site.
See you there

Re: Baldock Glider Day
It isnt a Greenley of any description, the heaviest we ever towed with a SDD Greenley on a DLE111 was Dave Pullingers Zurivogel which waddled in at around 53kgs eventually. To say it was a scale, sedate tow would be an understatementjohn greenfield wrote: ↑13 Jun 2021, 08:07 Frank

Hi All
Only 1 week to go now to the Baldock Glider aerotow. We have had a good response so far but everyone is welcome. Camping available on Sat night for those planning to arrive early and flying with the club (all types of models) on Sat is possible as a tug will be available. Sunday is dedicated to gliders and tugs only.
See you there?
