Hi I am fairly new to rc flying and fly a 2m electric RES glider at the moment plus I fly (badly) power models but I'm leaning towards gliders and particularly slope flying as i live on Dartmoor. To this end i have built a slope aileron trainer but I'm going to try a rudder elevator slope trainer first. I also have been given an old 140" I think f3 glider all of which I hope to get some slope experience this year. Then fingers crossed I can build a scale glider next winter that's why I'm here to get some advice and read some threads.

Dave

Hi dave, welcome to our community, and welcome to the hobby. There are plenty of wise old heads here that can help, some I must say not so old, come to think of it, some, not so wise!  Welcome anyway.

Hi Dave, may I give some advice on a suitable trainer model for the slope ? We found in the "old" days that it was better to go straight into an aileron trainer rather than rudder / elevator models. For instance the Chris Foss Middle Phase came in two versions and the aileron version was easy to fly and tough. Happy flying. Regards John.
