New member from South Africa

Hi Everyone
I joined this page after reading an article in RCM+E for the Slingsby Petrel II drawn by Chris Williams.

Love the site.

Hi Roger

Welcome to the site.

I see you are in Johannasburg. There seems to be pockets of glider guiders in that area (and Pretoria). I have friends who fly at Worthogs, have you ever flown there?

Hi John
I have flown at Warthogs. It's a fantastic site. All the guys I know who have very large gliders fly from there.
I fly at JOMAC (Johannesburg model aircraft club) a club in the North of Johannesburg. We have recently had to move the location of the club so the glider activity has been reduced from what it was at the old site while the new grass runway is developing.

Hi Roger

We must try to meet up next time I am passing through Joburg. I love the Woethogs site and all their facilities...including the swimming pool.
