I used to fly when I was a kid. My dad Mark Farrand taught me gliders and powered. I live in Matlock Derbyshire but work at hpc near bridgwater. So I would fly down here too. Love to hear from folk near me in both areas. I currently have an amigo to get me back into it but I'm going to build a larger one a chris Williams skylark 4.

Welcome to the forum Joe.
The nearest slope soaring club to Bridgewater is probably the West Mendip Soaring Association (WMSA) who fly from Crook Peak - the big hill facing you as you go through the gap in the hills just south of the WsM junction going South, or on your Left towards the end of the straight after the Brent Knoll services going North.

There are normally fliers there on a Wednesday or Sunday & there are slopes for most wind directions.
Probably best to check out the club website for detailed info, or send me a PM.
