Hello from north devon

Post by phil sellwood »

Hi, thought is was about time i joined in. i fly with Okehampton and Bude clubs, slope and thermal but my main love is building large scale gliders and Aerotowing with Okehampton and visiting little haldon for their aerotow events. having despatched a Flamingo 2 years ago, then a K8 last christmas the current lockdown project is a CW Rhonadler 35- all those beautiful ribs and gussets! looking forward to viewing a few build blogs while glue dries..

Hi Phil

Welcome. In recent times we've lost many aerotow sites in my local area . Please tell me more about Okehampton aerotows.

Thanks

Ian ;)

Hi Ian,
Oke ("oakie") have been running club aerotows every summer month for 2-3 years now plus an open in august/september. our last event this year attracted some 15 pilots with gliders fron 2 1/2 - 6 m, and 3 tugs.best advice on checking out our site is to look at Cliff Harvey RC planes aerotow vids on Utube.
