Control surface gap tape WANTED

WANTED the control surface gap covering tape. IE clear tape that is only adhesive on part of its with, to go over the gap of a top hinged control surface.

never seen that type
what i do is slice 1 piece of tape to the width you don’t want sticking
and stick that to the tape sticky to sticky side, that way you have two sticking surfaces for
trailing edge and control surface
i use blenderm tape
hope that makes sense

George, Thin mylar strip fixed with double sided tape to the wing a little way back from the control gap to allow it to take on a slow bend on a down going aileron/flap. is the way to go.

I heard you can use the stuff off the full size gliders, no idea where to get it from though.

Rather less expensive at Ripmax! £7 for 5m (caveat is I've never used it so don't know if it is any good!)
