Jantar 2. Plan, canopy and advice wanted!

Hi there, my first post since rejoining SSUK.

I have recently acquired a 4.8m moulded glider fuselage with a set of obechi covered foam wings. No canopy and no rudder. There is a set of all moving tailplanes but I am not sure that they are from it!

I am not 100% certain of its identity.

The best guess is that it is a Viking models Jantar 2 b.
Well done Roo.

Does someone have a plan for one of those? If so, I would like to have a look at it to confirm what I have, see where the tail fits etc.

Many thanks,

Andy.

Andy,
I have a plan for a 1/5 scale Jantar2 produced by Modellbau Wanitschek many years ago.
This model is 4.1m span but if the tailplane position is anywhere near accurate then it could allow you to scale the dimension up to 1/4 scale.
My fin height at the fin post is 305mm & the tailplane centreline is 63mm up from bottom of the fin if that is any help.

Thanks for that. I have found a Polish drawing of the 2 versions. That gives me the proportions. I will look up your version.
