Cliff / John

Might help people decide if you put up the camping / caravan / motorhome charges, and the shower/toilet facilities for those considering an overnight stay. Not everyone will have looked at the BMFA Buckminster website.

Camping info here; http://nationalcentre.bmfa.org/visitor-info/camping
Local accomodation here; http://nationalcentre.bmfa.org/visitor- ... comodation

Looking at the prices as per the link below, there is currently a weekend price of £25 for arrive Friday PM and leave Sunday evening, so camp 2 nights and fly Friday evening, Sat and Sunday all day which is a good deal. Might be busy at the weekends though even when there is not an event on.

Gotta get up there very soon

This is a great idea.
I've voted for midweek. The one day mid week Camphill event works very well and is well supported.
I can tug and glide.

I have voted for a two day weekend but I would also support a mid week two day event if, as is probable, we wouldn't have sole use of the site.

All

Thank you to those have voted so far.
The discussions so far with the BMFA is for the sole use of the site for the event and rates being discussed would be £8 per day at the weekend or £6 during the week. Camping would be extra.

I don't see that as a problem as long as we aren't sharing the runway, at Middle Wallop at the weekend, as well as the aerotow there was the regular model club and a vintage event all taking place, mind you MW has plenty of space.

Come on Guys. Please all vote (if you would attend an event at Buckminster).

I need a realistic view of likely support.

Thanks
