Try 'Upol-Reface' - a polyester spray filler that can be brushed on. It's basically thinned p38. I find it's good at falling into pin holes whilst also able to coat up to 3mm thick 'wet on wet'. Curing time is dependant on how much activator you use (within reason) but typically 20 minutes at 20'C.
Sands as easily as polyfiller and is semi-structural (i.e. replace gel-coat to give a hard surface finish)
The down side is you can only get it in litre+ cans @ ~£20, but you'll keep it forever!

The only problem with many 2K materials is that the hardener/activator often has quite a short shelf life!
