Did the lost signals settings work ok? Were they ‘custom’ or just ‘hold’?

I believe it was a case of flying the wrong model, George and I were flying our large gliders at the same time, my ASH 25, and George his Nimbus 4, plus other large gliders were flying as well. So there was no signal loss to speak of, just the model not quite doing what it was meant to do..... and no one saw the glider fly off doing odd manoeuvres either.

Hi Antonia, Thanks for the update. I did not know it was your ASH that had decided to do its own thing. Was it badly damaged?
We've all been there and done that. You may remember at the Purbeck convention a few years ago, I was on the trani son Rick launched his 1/3 scale all molded ASW27 (its size and weight suited a younger frame then mine) for its 3rd flight of its life. When it was well away he walked back to the flight line while I was trimming it for level flight. I handed his trani to him and indicated which model it was that had now joined the others in the sky.He got it wrong. We all watched as his ASW re-kitted itself in the field below.
£1500.00, and a winters entire build gone with the model to the bin with only two flights logged. :(
Time to reflect, why do we do this sport?
Hope to fly with you soon. Terry.

It was George's Nimbus I believe Terry, not Antonia's ASH that flew away.
Very remarkable if it managed to "land itself" some distance away without critical damage...

All ASH 25's present and correct and all in one piece, it was the Nimbus that flew away.

Uhh :? I was flying my 7m ASH 25... perfectly (for once...)
I was totally unaware of the issue, to busy sticking myself to the ceiling.
Away I don't like Schempp-Hirth gliders!... the cheek
