Scale gliders on BBC TV 'Countryfile'

Post by Nigel Argall »

I didn't see it live but below is a link to a clip from last Sunday's Countryfile. I got sent it by BMFA (as a club sec) as apparently it has generated quite a lot of interest from folk who want to give model flying a go. BMFA are constructing a map of clubs prepared to give 'trial lessons' to interested parties. Great to see some really positive coverage so congrats to all concerned!

I saw it on catchup as well and was delighted to see my old friend Dave Woods steering an F3f model round the sky in his usual spirited fashion. I thought it was a good PR piece without the usual "boys with toys" slant.

Ivinghoe was also used for the new star wars film. The planet with the ruined death star. Never noticed the sea and the death star when I have been up there.
