I can clearly see the lettering on the fus, which I assume is on both sides, and enough of the lower left wing to work out the size and position, but I cannot find a picture with the upper right wing on it. Does anyone know if it would be normal/mandatory in France to place the registration on the upper surface of the opposite wing?

This is the scheme I intend to finish my Fauvette in:

Thank you Peter, I'd not come across that image in my searches, it seems I do need upper wing markings!
Phil, that is the documentation my searches threw up and I am using for my colour scheme but, as you say, lacking upper wing detail although it does show quite clearly the "Lois Breguet" signature logo on the LH ruddervator (not sure how I'm going to replicate that).

I can produce a file which Barry Cole maybe able to cut from vinyl, failing that it can be printed by Caly Graphics. I will contact you via email when I have done the file, but I need to know the length of the logo you require
