Re: Who's Building What 2019
Still loads to do but nice when you can assemble it and make it look like a glider. It's a WLM 1 - 1947 Swiss aerobatic glider. It's 1/4 scale and I'm building from the Vic Steel plan which has caused lots of problems - always frustrating but we will get there...

I like unusual models and this one really looks the part. Nicely executed, Lee

Nigel, the WLM is interesting. Here is a photo of the instruments if it helps and a pdf article about the glider with some scale detail

I had the article Vince but not the photo so as always - you come up trumps! Much appreciated. WLM cockpit is actually pretty complicated for a vintage glider - maybe as they were putting air force pilots in it they wanted it to look the part? I'll do something but it will probably be a little simplified - I like the challenge of trying to make things look detailed for a minimum effort.

Next up...1/4 scale Habicht. 40 years too late, I just discovered a way of pinning ply to board so that it remains flush. Having drilled out the ply, a small length of heatshrink tube is slid over the pin and compressed: seems to work a treat...

We look forward to those high speed, inverted passes across the slope...

Interested to see where you are going with this Chris - will it be a lightweight version like the Minimoa? I have the 1/4 scale plans and it's on my 'to-do-in-the-future' list. Assume you will be changing the wing section as well?? Will there be a build log?

Re: Who's Building What 2019
Given the sprightliness of the 5th scale Wolf, I'm sticking with my favourite section. What seems to work well at the moment is a heavy fuselage and lightweight wings! I'm hoping for a big improvement on the 30 odd years old plan!
