The maiden went well on what has to be said what was the best day we have had for a very long time.
There was a fair amount of thrust required to get the Petrel moving on the skid but as soon as it did move it leapt into the air and sat easily behind the Greenley.
I did have to add a few click of down trim but all in all it was a good first flight.

Well done, Stu...Once you have spent a little time tweaking the controls & getting her to circle nicely, you should have some nice flying ahead...
BTW BC knows all about skid friction.

Yes, It is known as the death of the Mk 1 Piper Cub.
The full size has much the same problem, at 1 min 50 sec.

Hi all
Took delivery of a lovely FW Models 1:4.5 ASW17 from Phil H at MW.
Fits together very nicely and has a Migflight Jetec 80 installed.
Might need some advice on fitting the all moving tail plane!

Thanks, Cliff & Chris, it's 1: 3.5, the Jim Owen plan reduced. Also, thought all Dave C's friends would like to know that he flew last week, first time for 2 yrs.

William,
Another great model. Good to hear about Dave. Tell him we are all thinking of him, as wish him all the best. Hope to see him over here next year, maybe.

John Greenwood from Oz sent me these pics of his recently completed electrified 3rd scale Topaze. Amazingly, it flies ROG...!
