Slingsby Skylark 2 1/5 Scale Traplet plan

Post by alibodin »

Maidened my Slingsby Skylark 2 1/5 Scale from Traplet plan and short kit. I finished a few years ago but never flew it until today. Anyone know the COG should be, mine is 25% of wing at the root and it seems a bit too forward.

Thanks,

Alistair

Alistair, I think 30% Chord should be better. Regards John.

Thanks John,

Went 30% and much better she flew very nicely. Unfortunately I could not access the lead in the nose so strapped some on with tape at rear of fuz, agricultural but effective. Flew of the slope and caught a few thermals

All good fun,

Alistair

Watership Down just south west of Kingsclere.

Flew of what we affectionally call the bowl just in front of the gallops.
