This pretty motor glider was seen at Drury Airshow in NZ on Sunday.
Can anyone name it and tell me something about it.
I thought it might make a good next build project if I could find 3 views or a plan

Think that's Grob G109 manufactured in Germany.

Re: Can you identify this
Yes, it is certainly a Grob G109 - probably the 16.6m span G109A.
You can read the G109 legend on the forward fuselage in the picture posted.
The G109B was externally very similar apart from a clear view panel low down, just in front of the wing root and a 17.4m span. This variant was used by the RAF for initial flight training until the fleet was axed earlier this year.
I have just ordered a 1/4 scale fuselage and intend to build the G109B when there is space on my workbench
There are a couple of 3 views on the Internet, including the attached one, but only a simple plan from long ago.
Roke Modell do a couple of sizes inc. 1/4 scale - at a price.
However there is about to be a revival of a Pat Teakle Models type short kit beginning to reappear from PJ Models in the UK.

Nor sure if a tee-tail is a good idea with model glider towing. the gliders are sometimes higher that the tug at take off what could result in interesting moments. I have seen a tow line hooking under a rudder horn. the tug would not take off.

Jilles, this would not be for towing. this would simply be a motor glider.

It is a grob 109. Have a look at the aero sparks in the video section a mate of mine flys one for the team but the 109b that is heavily modified. I have started to build a 4.6 meter one .
