A substitute for Solartex Natural...?

Hobbyking have at last come out with clear, matt heat-shrink film that rivals Solartex Natural in appearance.

Advantages:

1: Much lighter and needs no paint for the translucent parts of your flying surfaces

2: 5 times cheaper than Solartex (under £7 for 5metres)

3: Should be suitable for even large models

I've tried it out on an old rudder. It's not quite as translucent as 'tex, so you can see the structure more clearly, so a bit of wood staining might be necessary. I imagine it could be painted with trim colours, or use coloured film instead (as shown on the rudder)

Can't wait to try it out on the next project!

Chris, thanks, I've used their coloured film before, will try some of this. I've got some Diacov on the way from France for recovering the Eagle.
