hi gents
has anyone got a method for making canopy frames ?
it’s just trying to get correct curve etc

The easiest way to obtain a curve in a canopy rail is laminate, say, two strips of 3 x 6mm spruce together, and fix them to the curved part you want to emulate, packing out slightly to allow for the inevitable spring-back when the epoxy has cured.
Canopy frames can be either cut directly from 3mm ply or similar, or laminate with strips of 0.8mm ply wrapped around a correctly shaped former...
