46% IS28B2

Post by Jilles »

Some time ago I produced the drawing of a 46% IS28B2 glider (7.82 m) for a contact here in Australia. Attached some pictures of the build as it stands.
The fuselage is built as designed, spruce ply, balsa
The wings and stab will be balsa/glassed covered foam

Holy cow,

My 3 year old could jump into that and go for a ride.

1/3 scale version?
I soloed in an IS28 in 1983.
Last flight of the day, landed at last light mid winter and did the hangar flight.
Instructor was keen for me to beat another student to lowest number of flights to solo.
