1/6 scale T21 from Jilles Smits
Message from Terry in France that has finally managed to Maiden the T21.
Hi Cliff, just a little word to say we finally experienced a break in the weather on Thursday and I managed 3 flights with the T21. Fantastic, just as I experienced the full size, slow and majestic, and the landings smooth and stable. Thanks for the cutting and help with the plan, here's the proof in flight, cheers Terry.

If this is the 1:6 scale (2.74m wing span) of my design can you please let me know the flying weight. I can compare this to the computer model weight
The computer model does not calculate glue, fabric and paint and any variation in local used material density compared to computer material
Cheers

Still Confused of Dorset... at 1/6th scale, the T21 should have a span of less than 3 meters. Here are some pics for comparison: mine is 3.5 scale, the one being launched is, I believe, 1/5th scale. Either way, congratulations on a very nice model!

Span of Jilles 1/6 scale is 2.74Mtr I think that may just be under the 3Mtrs you quote!

Hi Cliff, the final weight was 7.8 kg, mostly batteries, lead in the nose and the pilots. The c.g and servo throws were spot, no in flight correction needed, possibly the least eventful maiden flight ever!
