That's the story, Wayne. Rough cut oversize and sand it with a long bar. Then ply the tip bays.

I notice that you did not cut a 45 deg angle on the bottom spars, they seem to be cut flush with the end rib. A 45 deg angle on the bottom spars would give more support to the tip but you can cut some 45 deg triangles from 3/8 balsa and stick them to the ends of the bottom spars to do the same job.

yeah its a headache for sure plus i cut my fingers on the bandsaw same time so i took the easy route and sanded them flush and adding triangle 90/ 45 degree balsa to the space later then sand :-)

hi all

ok so this is where we are now..... see pics

got to glue in the webs then final sand and fit the tips and fill the spaces etc then ply sheet....

ok well got a few pictures for you......... how i finished sanding the tips, reinforcing and drilling the alignment pins , re-inforce the area for the tow release ( need to chat to Stu about that a bit more) thin servo area covers cut and now to make 3mm ply plates for each servo
